Wild Banshee Barley Wine

Dark brown with a red hue, almost garnet. Head was gone quickly, but given the style it was appropriate. As the glass emptied, the beer's reddish colors really started to come out. Smell was sweet and hoppy. Flavor had some caramel notes with a very nice moderate hop backbone. Bitterness was definitely perceived, but the malt character was high enough to keep everything from getting out of hand. Another quality brew by Tom.
