Bitter End is the final enduring beer of a brewer who recently left Lucky Lab to relocate to The Green Mountain State. It is, as the name suggests, amply bitter, but theres also plenty of fruitiness along the lines of apricot-nectarine. This fruitiness is especially prevalent in the nose and is quite appealing if you like that sort of thing.
The head on Bitter End is its most remarkable asset. It is tight, creamy, and indefatigable, and trails a solid wall of lace. The body is dark scarlet.
I noted a flush of tannins as well as a bright finishing note of sugar. Lucky Lab has no shortage of better offerings, but this beer warms well and is worth trying if theres any left to be had.
