Enjoyed at the Hawthorne location just before my flight back to San Diego. I tried to ask more about this beer, but the guy behind the bar didn't seem to know much about it.
The beer appears straw golden with a small white fluffy head. Some lacing is left behind after the quick recession.
The aroma is slightly spicy, with some lemon and orange. The nose isn't completely dominated by citrus, but it's a lot stronger than I expected for the style. The malt is crackery and caramel with a distinct graininess. No alcohol is noticeable.
There's lots of fruit in the flavor, mainly orange with a little lemon and peach. There's moderate hop bitterness and just a little spiciness. Once again, the citrus is surprising but it's pretty tasty. The finish, however, is clean. Alcohol is barely detectable throughout.
The beer is light bodied with good carbonation. This is a refreshing, light beer that's pretty damn enjoyable on a hot day.
