Stumptown porter is brewed using abundant caramel malts and just a little roast barley to give this dark ale its sweet flavorful finish.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at Dan & Louis Oyster Bar in Portland.
Appearance: deep dark brown with plenty of haze. There's also a thin head of tan foam; a nice look.
Smell: lightly sweet and roasty aroma; mild but not bad.
Taste: moderately roasty with a light caramel character and a mild earthy hoppiness. A solid porter.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and concomitant creaminess. Good!
Overall: a straightforward, well-made but unremarkable porter. I like it, though.

Bought this 11/1/14, so it's not retired.

t: 4 Follows smell, but ample, and developing a great bitter, long old timber & hay finish.
f: 4 nicely finishing warming porter
o: 3.75 - Lighter, hopper side of porter
Excellent- must try.

Pint glass, on tap @ Portland a/p.
Pours dark re. brown w/negligible head, little CO2. Delightful
Bitter, roasted malt flavor w/coffee note finish. Thin mouthfeel.
Add a little more body & carbonation & it'd be a winner!
