I had this beer on-tap in my OBF pint glass at Oregon Brewers Festival. The brewery calls this a "copper ale", but I feel like it easily fits within the style of an amber ale.
Appearance: it is indeed copper in color. It is very nearly haze free, with a light effervescence and a thin layer of tan foam head. Great color!
Smell: lightly malty and lightly nutty, with a nice, classic copper ale aroma. A bit low in intensity, though.
Taste: bready, nutty, and caramelly. Bitterness is quite strong for the style, with a low level of hoppy flavor; almost like an English bitter. The bitterness is a little bit bitey in character, but it's nice.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and a very nice creaminess for the style. I like it.
Overall: pretty drinkable, but the bitterness is a bit bitey or raspy for me; it kind of impedes my desire for a further pint.
