From a 350 ml can can on Takeshi Island, Japan. 5% ABV. May 2020 BB date stamp.
Pours dark brown with a good light brown head.
Mild but smooth and very well balanced with very mild bitterness.
Overall: a good, sessionable porter.

350ml can, pint glass, 2018.08 on the bottom of the can.
Very dark auburn brown Porter is topped by a nice creamy, tight, and coyote brown head.
Crisp to sanitized, ripe fruit, hint of cocoa.
Plum and ripe fruit are very forward. Wisps of chocolate flavor form and dissipate almost before you remember this is a Porter. It starts quite sweet and ends with a flat bitterness.
The mouthfeel is an average medium with medium carbonation.
This example of Okinawan brewing is less refined that my last, from Nanto Brewing. It’s an attempt at a classic style by a Japanese brewer who touts “all malt” as if it’s an upgrade, not standard in this world. I realize that is something you want to tell people in their market, but this just isn’t a complete Porter.
