clear yellow golden colour with a two-finger white foamy head that retained OK and laced OK. Aroma of grain and light malt.Taste of slight sweetness and no hops bitterness. Light body very watery. Crisp and refreshing.

Bottle: a clear 330mL bottle with a 'summery' label that really doesn't float my boat. Hopefully the beer is better than the package.
Appearance: poured into my schooner glass - a clear light yellow with a large and solid white head. Slowly drops to a thick cap, then a film-and-ring. Looks pretty good.
Aroma: a cheap grain fug, and that is absolutely it. No hops, no adjuncts, just a heavy cheap grain. Pretty nasty.
Taste: better than the smell. Still grains - but cleaner than on the nose - with a light citrus. Tastes a bit like a wonky radler.
Aftertaste: lingers for a short time before it's time for the next mouthful.
Mouth feel: very thin and watery - pretty much like water. I felt like drinking the entire bottle in one gulp, which is not particularly the best way to get refreshed on a hot summer day. Carbonation is moderate also.
Overall: I can understand why Gage Roads haven't put their name prominantly over this bottle - it simply isn't as good as their usual offering. The flavours are okay, but it is far too thin - I am drinking this in 37-degrees and 55% humidity in Queensland and was really looking forward to throwing down a crisp lager. I have now finished it, and don't feel refreshed at all. I'll just have a Carlton Mid - cheaper and better.
