September 2004: Cask at the Ipswich Beer Festival 2004, gravity dispense. Dark mild. Aroma of prunes, hints of cigarbox. Well rounded flavour, lightly roasted, hints of liquorice. Nice.

Sampled on cask at Salisbury Winterfest. Dark in color with ruby accents and characteristic creamy, fading cask head. Full-bodied and full-flavored, sweet roasty flavors and a slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full and smooth. Malty flavors dominate. Roasted grains and burnt chocolate. More complex than most.
