Tasted at a Barons' launch event, Feb 24 2009. From a combination of my notes at the time and my ailing memory:
Pours light-ish yellow and crystal clear. "The colour of honey" is what the brewer said he was aiming for at the time, and fair enough - although honey varies in colour almost as much as beer does, I guess. Very inviting - quite light, almost 2 fingers of head. Just about a regular golden lager in appearance. Clear and lovely.
Not much to talk about smell-wise. Honey sweetness but otherwise pretty much like any other lager. Slight hops.
Not real malty for a Bock, even a Maibock. Honey sweetness, a gap in the middle, then understated bitterness and some spice in the finish. Again, this could be mistaken for a regular lager, albeit a good one.
I didn't take notes on the mouthfeel so I'm guessing it wasn't anything special. Vaguely remember it being a bit watery.
Drinkability is quite high. There's not even a slight hint of alcohol in it, despite being 7%, and it's very refreshing and very clean. The honey adds character and doesn't make it overly sweet, but there's not much else to it. Your girlfriend will love it but you're going to have to carry her home.
It's still on tap at the Platform Bar, I think, so I may update this review after another sample.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
