A dark, murky brown colored brew with a sturdy creamy light tan layer of foam on top and decently laced. The aroma is a deep and pungent nutty malt with nuances of peat. The flavor matches well with the aroma with roasted chestnut and deep sweet malt, pistachio oats and a touch of a citrus-pine hop bite at the edges. The body is solidly medium-plus with a polite but effective carbonation for a cask ale, delivering a smooth feel with a pleasant tingle going down. A deep malt flavor bomb that brings out a unique nutty dominance. Very good stuff and quite sessionable.
