Appearance: The body is a clear golden color. The head is two fingers tall, white and fluffy with great retention and lacing.
Smell: The aroma is light with a bit of malt.
Taste: The flavors are crisp and malty.
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is very crisp.
Drinkability: This is very drinkable.
Don't drink and review.

I took this beer home with me in one of their 64 oz. growlers. It was on-tap at the New Hope Triumph around 4/6/2008.

When poured into a Heavy Seas Euro style pint glass, this German Pilsner was a pale lemon yellow with a white head of foam that was less than 1/2 inch in height. The head of foam didn't bother to stick around for very long, but it did leave behind white bubbly rings and streaks of white lace. It had a simple Pilsner aroma of toasted malts, juicy fruits, and some spicy German hops in the back. The taste was very well balanced between the spicy citrus hops and the toasted malts. Besides those two, there was also dried citrus fruits, more citrus hops, and a touch of grapefruit at the end. It was a light bodied beer that had a refreshing aftertaste of spicy citrus hops, toasted malts, and a small slice of grapefruit. Some German Pilsners can get boring at times, but not this one. It was a nice well balanced German Pilsner

Triumph- German Pilsner

Appearance- Light orange/ yellow with a big frothy white head.
Smell- Light citrus with mild malt tones.
Taste- lemony citrus blended with a light sugary malt.
Mouthfeel- solid flavor throughout and pallatte cleansing.

Overall- An easy beer to drink but after 1 or 2 you might want to move on to a beer with bigger flavor. This is a seasonal.

Appearance: clear golden yellow in color with a nice 1 finger head. Decent lacing develops on the glass.

Smell: the nose picks up some spicy hop bitterness with some dry grass.

Taste: the flavor sports a nice maltiness, while retaining a refeshingly sharp Saaz-like bitterness. A whisper of lemon zest hits the back of the tongue during the swallow. Superbly balanced in my opinion.

Mouthfeel: Lighter in body, but big in flavor. Mouthfeel is crisp at the start, and the finish is slightly dry and crisp.

Drinkability: very refreshing beer, and worth seeking out if its on tap. This paired wonderfully with the fried calamari at the brewpub.

Served as part of a sampler tray at their brewpub in New Hope, Pa. This is a decent Pilsner style lager and shows some characteristics to that effect. Very pale and golden yellow in color, with a small white head of foam. The aroma yields some light lemony grains. That taste is crisp and clean and is light in body. Low bitterness which could lead one to mistake this for a Kolsch. Lemon crisp and very clean in the finish, with just a small hop bite detected. Nice, light and drinkable lager.
