Lemon, wheat floral and mild citrus aroma. Taste isn't overpowering but in a good way,all the flavors advertised are there. A really pleasant beer to enjoy with lunch

Triumph Brewing Co. "Zitronenweizen"
on tap at the Princeton location on 11 November 2017

Notes: Listed at 5.3% ABV, and brewed with chamomile and lemon zest. Standard, slightly light hefeweizen with a refreshing thread of lemon flavor and acidity running through it for balance. I didn't find the chamomile but that doesn't mean it wasn't there adding something behind the scenes. Pleasant and refreshing, and most importantly, interesting. Anyone can brew a standard Bavarian-style hefeweizen but this is unique.

On tap at Triumph Brewpub. Pint glass.

LOOK: cloudy yellow, pretty nice sized head, fades to creamy lacing.
AROMA: lemon, wheat,
TASTE: Very citrus as the name suggests...lemon lime, wheat, not much else, but those are solid. The beer is exactly what it says it is.
FEEL: a little slimey, but decent carbonation.

On tap in New Hope. My favorite of the 4 beers I tried.

Pours a nice cloudy yellow.

I get lemon peel and a bit of grassiness on the nose.

Smooth and well-balanced taste - maybe a little thin but still surprisingly creamy for a wheat beer. The chamomile is there and works better than expected. I also get a faint cinnamon sweetness.

Overall, tasty.

Appearance: Hazy straw gold color, short white head, leaves no lacing

Smell: Citrus and wheat

Taste: Citrus upfront, with some biscuit malt and wheat in there. Not too much yeast flavor

Mouthfeel: Light body, medium carbonation

Overall: Very good brew, something a bit different but very refreshing. Triumph seems to excel at these oddball brews. Love it.

First had: on tap at the Philly brewpub

A kristalweizen is basically an unfiltered hefeweizen, and as such, I was a bit surprised when this came out to me quite cloudy in the glass, pale straw-yellow with a huge fluffy white head that retained and laced well. Major funk in the aroma, lesser herbal and grassy notes with hints of citrus. A touch of tartness up front on the palate, biscuity, more herbal, wet grassy goodness, lemon zest, light peppery spice. Crisp and clean, dry, light-medium body, and very drinkable.

A - filtered hefe, low head, some carbo apparent.

S - mild grassy herbal thing.

T - light bready body up front followed by the chomomile and lemongrass. Really clean, not overbearing.

M/D - light mouthfeel, really easy to drink. Good beer with a nice twist.
