Appearance: dark amber almost brown in color. Thick lace develops from a nice sized head.
Smell: caramel, fruit sweetness, and nutmeg are the main flavors.
Taste: caramel, ripe fruits, nice spiciness that includes a soft peppery and nutmeg flavor, and a moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp at the start, smoother towards the finish. Spiciness lingers on the tongue for a while.
Overall: a pleasant holiday season beer, but one was enough in the session.

Draught in Philly: CASK! This one pours a clear mahogany color. There was 1 finger of a dense off-white head on it. Served a slightly higher temperature. Lots of caramel, spices and citrus hops to the nose. The taste is also good. Caramel, spices, some citrus, somewhat bitter and dry. Nice!
