this would have been your run of the mill, average brewpub light beer, save for one problem: dirty tap lines. you can notice it in the smell and mouthfeel of this and some of their other brews as well. boo! anyway, this one pours your basic light golden colour with a minimal head. as mentioned, average. the smell and mouthfell have already been discussed. strangely, that problem didn't seem to alter the flavour of this one...much. i'd maybe knock it up to a 3.5. a basic light beer, but with more flavour than your typical macro: wheat and some creamy butter/caramel flavours are apparent here but very thin. overall: eh. i've had better brewpub light beers but this is certainly better than a bud.

Served as part of a sampler tray at their brewpub In Tom’s River. I am usually a fan of a brewpub’s light offering. They are usually simple beers with delicate and light flavors. This is no exception, I have had better, but this is not bad. Pale golden yellow in color and topped with an attractive head of white foam. The aroma has a light and pleasantly citrus quality to it. The taste is light, but has a fine sharpness that dances on the tongue. Light in body and refreshing. Very nice for a light beer. It’s one I enjoyed.

Barnegat Lite beer- Basil T's Toms River

Appearance- light yellow/ almost clear. No head.
Smell- I detected no wheat aroma only a sweet malty presence.
Taste- very sweet, light maltyness nothing else.
Mouthfeel- watery, nothing else.

Overall, my 1st beer at Basil T's and I was very dissappointed. A beer that was a waste of time! Don't order this beer they have plenty of others!
