Served as part of a sampler tray at their brewpub In Tom’s River, NJ. This is unmistakingly a light Scotch ale. Amber brown in color, very clear with a thin white head of creamy foam. Slight caramel and smoke nose. The taste is one of lightly caramelized grains. Mouthfeel is light and is a tad watery. Low in maltiness and bitterness, but has a buttery texture to it. Overall, a light and drinkable beer that seems to be well blended. Not bad.
