Sunset Ale

don't know if this is a new or simply a seasonal brew from the folks at basil t's, but it's basic and not half bad. it's touted as being bolder and more flavourful than the light beer they offer, and i'm happy to report that, whilest not being a difficult task to complete, it is. it pours a slightly cloudy dark golden colour with a thin bubbly head. the nose and flavour are prety much one and the same here: it's got some hoppiness, balanced nicely with malt smell and flavour (with the malt more toward the back in flavour). there's less of a creaminess and more of a sweetenss too, most likely from the increased hops. as mentioned already, a basic but tasty beer, and it seemed very fresh too. i'd choose this one over the barnegat light and pete's pale ale, easily.
