I got this one at the Basil T's Brew Pub in Toms River on 1/26/2008. They served it to me in a tall slender Pilsner glass. The beer was a reddish amber with a thin head of white foam that dissipated into a handful of small white rings and spots of white bubbles that acted as the lace. I couldn't figure out why the aroma of this beer was sour. It smelled like they had problems somewhere. Anyway, the aroma was lightly sour with cherries and a hint of toasted malts and hops. Not only was the aroma sour, but the taste was also slightly sour with toasted malts, hops, and a speck of fruits at the end. The mouthfeel was extremely light with a faint aftertaste of water toasted malts. I don't think Basil T's was attempting to sour up thier Vienna Lager. They need to fix the problems with this beer immediately! If this is how they wanted the beer to taste, then there's no way I would ever waste money on this one again. Sample it first to see if they fixed the problems.
