From a growler purchased two days before:
Pours copper/amber with a thin white, lasting head that leaves some lacing.
The smell is of citrus/grapefruit with a caramelish background.
The taste is of citric fruitiness - bitterness well-balanced by a sweet caramelish maltiness in the well-rounded finish.
Starts out on the light-side of medium, but gains more body as it progresses.
A nice hoppy touch to a malt-accented beer. Extremely drinkable - a good "session" brew!

This might be another one of Basil T's year round brews. They didn't list this one in their beer menu, but the bartender told me that they had this one and it's different from thier Red Ale. On tap on 3/8/08 and it was served to me in a Pilsner glass.
It poured a light clear amber that had a thin head of white foam that quickly dissipated into a handful of white foamy rings, one streak of white lace, and a few spots of lace. It had an unusual smoky aroma that contained green olives, wood, toasted malts, and a hint of caramel. Then toward the bottom, the aroma started to get sour. What an odd aroma! The taste started off faint with toasted malts and caramel. Then halfway through, the taste all of a sudden became crispy with citrus hops and a slice of grapefruit. It was a light bodied beer that had a slightly malty and crispy aftertaste of toasted malts and citrus hops. It was just an average beer. I wouldn't mind ordering this beer again if it was the only thing they had.
