Half Pint from the handpump at the Paisley Beer Festival

A- Mahogany nut brown body with a 2 finger soapy head, reduces to a crown with moderate lace.

S- Earthy new potatos is the ownly way i can describe this! Ive never experienced this in a beer before but there is a definite earthy note. Hint of butterscotch/toffee maybe.

T- Earthiness is coming through again balanced with a toffeish/buttery note underneath. Slight hop bite present as it lingers.

M- Low carbonation an medium body.

D- Certainly a different flavour to what was expected but enjoyable nonetheless with interesting notes.

A - Poured into a pint glass a lightish copper colour with 1.5 centimetres of off white head which slowly falls away to a thin whisp.
S - There is some fairly strong sour fruity notes up front followed by some woodiness.
T - Quite sour in the taste as well as some herbal notes. Some vauge caramel maltiness.
M - Medium bodied, lowish carbonation.
D - An interesting beer, the sourness is something I haven't had in an English Bitter before...worth a try.

Organic, bottle-conditioned, coming in a 500ml brown bottle. BB 16 May 07, served cool in a straight imperial-pint glass. The label states: "Moor Ale is a special ale dedicated to the Yorkshire Moores. The beer is red brown in colour with a rich and full bodied taste of caramel with hints of heather and peat. Moor Ale is specially brewed for the Autumn and Winter when the moors are as brown as the ale itself."

A: dark amber with reddish orangey hints and good clarity, the foamy beer head comes fast effervescent with a hissing sound then settles slowly, supported by abundant fizziness.
S: lightly sharp, sour-sweet orangey-citric and pear fruitiness, fruit esters, piney notes of yeasts, and a rather light-bodied caramelly maltiness with a touch of sprigs--all elements mingle pretty well, but nothing too impressive or deep.
T: the fruity palate mixed of sour-sweet berries and raw pears gives way to dryish herbal and woody palate with amber malts at the back; more dryish and bitter-sweet malty aftertone, laced with touches of berry-fruits and raw nuttiness here and there, leaving a tannic like clashing mouthfeel and a residual bitterness quite restrained for a premium bitter. Overall, the flavour profile doesn't seem to evolve very much, appearing quite simplistic IMO.
M&D: refreshing on the mouthfeel and quite light-bodied for its alc. strength. Very easy to drink but not a remarkable beer.
