It takes a real man, or a real woman, to drink a HopGoddess Ale. Brewed with 100% pilsner malt and 100% Saaz hops, the flavor profile of this beer is bold and delicate, assertive and subtle. Saaz hops, by the way, are considered the quintessential pilsner hop, grown in the area around the Czech city of Zatec.

A tough call on categorizing this beer. According to the brewery it is a "pilsner fermented as an ale." So, steam beer? Light body and smooth nature tipped the scale to the lager side. Brewed wiht 100% saaz hops. Nice bit of spicyness up front, tending to go a little watery at the finish. All-in-all a pleasant beer, but upping the hops just a bit would have been helpful.
