Unknown vintage (likely summer 2016); drank 9/15/16 @ the Yarchives.

Semi-opaque orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big bright white head; strong, frothy lace.

Grapefruit, caramel & urine notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Urine, caramel, baking soda & bitter grapefruit.

Simply awful; nearly undrinkable.

Pours a clear amber color with a modest thin head. Although not great in size, it leaves an impressive trail of lacing.
Hops forward aroma with an interesting mixture. I’m getting melon and grass. Later, a nice perfume like scent that is soapy and floral (I’m thinking rose petals) hits the nose.
Medium to light bodied and very clean at first. Thin malt feel in which the hops dominate. I suppose I didn’t realize I was drinking a session ipa. The hops impart a grass, pine, light grapefruit and a subtle lemon finish. The bitterness is moderate and clean and the palate is dry overall. As the drink warms, I finally get some of that malt base to open up in flavor. It is grainy with a light honey and even grape like flavor. I’m thinking it is pilsner malt?
A decent drinkable session ipa, albeit a little thin at first.

Poured a golden orange body with great head and lace. Sticky, resin-like aroma with grapefruit smells and this slightly funky fruit punch aroma. Sticky, light, slightly funky with earthy bitterness but the beer goes down bitter and while mellow with this odd sweetness in background (it's like watermelon) it is not the most enjoyable beer.

Grapefruit forever. A great session, bright, fruity, strong in taste, light, bright carbonation. A hop bomb, yet still easy drinking. The low alcohol is surprising,.

From Elcervecero. In Teku glass. Playing Pillars of Eternity. Dry, with lots of fresh herbal and grassy hops and a great body for such low abv, without nearly any of the watery feeling of session ipas

355ml bottle poured into a pint glass.

Hazy orange amber hue, it tops with a finger of creamy off-white head that retains for a while with decent retention before collapsing to some lasting frothy patch atop and leaving slight lacing on the glass-side.

Smell is like a fruit bomb of grapefruit, lime, pomelo, floral, as well as some herbal, grassy, and earthy aromas. Malt is there to bring its bread and sweet candy joining in.

The taste is led by fruity hop of grapefruit, lime, and pomelo together with floral, earthy, and slight grassy yet clean bitterness. Malt is in the base with its biscuit and bread.

Light to medium body with quite smooth mouthfeel and quite lively carbonation through the palate, the feeling is crisp and refreshing with a slight dry finish.

Floral and fruity forwards session IPA, no offensive, pretty good offering from Rogue.

Does not seem like a lite beer at all, good body, great hopping, full of flavour. One of the few session IPAs that I'd actually want to session. Is it really that weak?

This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a semi-hazy ruddy yellow color with a decent transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Light lacing settles in a messy sort of way around the glass. The smell starts off with a sharp bitter pine rolling on into subtle waves of oily leafy fresh hops. There’s some citrus and then a light danky onion. The taste was fresh, bitter and danky. Light sweetness settles in on the background. Semi-piney bitter aftertaste. Wet sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt just right for a session IPA. Bitterness hits right and feels good. Overall, hey shout out to Rogue for this one, for the style, I’d say they pulled off what many brewers are trying to do, getting the flavor in a lower ABV-ed beer.

Raw hops is what you get, definitely. Loads of raw hops in the nose and also the taste - but hold on, is this a... session IPA?
The ABV would support this argument, so would the sessionable lightness of the body but what about these heavy hops? What about this big boldness of the character?
If it is a session IPA, it is like no other. It much punchier, a lot more raw and BITTER than any other sessions I have ever had.
If it is a regular IPA then you are being fed (drank) the hops in a very impressive way, in a way that you can fully enjoy its fresh bitterness. Never before have bitterness felt so good!
It is not a vicious bitter though. It is perhaps a double nature hop or a great combination of their own 4 hop varieties we are dealing with here? Matters not if the end result is so enjoyable. And so well balanced - on the bitter end!
Earthy, piney, perhaps a bit of a bitter grapefruit skin-like bitterness? at its best. And sessionable. And refreshing. And outstanding. Indeed.
Thanks to Rogue Farms for this 4 Hop IPA, and for teaching me how good bitter hops can be!

4 Hop IPA pours a hazy golden color, with a long lasting and lacing head. Earthy aroma, hints of malts. Taste is a bit earthy, but not overpowering, with a nice crisp slightly bitter hop flavor near the end. Good body and feel. Overall, very tasty and very easy to drink, with a full flavor.

From the 22 oz bottle in a snifter. This decent IPA pours a nice
chill hazed deep yellow tinged amber with a fantastic head of off
white foam that subsides to a thick rocky layer and features some
excellent sticky lacing. Nose of heavy grass and earthy dank hop notes
with a hint of sweetness and mild citrus. Flavors follow the nose with
earthy hop notes awash in mild pine and touches of citrus with lemongrass
and finishing with a lightly salt tinged pine note with a mild sweet honey malt
to cut through the bitterness. Decent mouth feel; medium body, lightly sticky,
and medium low carbonation finishing lightly dry.

Overall, a decent little ale but nothing too out of bounds for the style.

Poured from a bottle into an IPA glass.

Overall: a subtle IPA for bitterness. Good flavor but faded away quickly.

Look: orange, decent head, hazy from roused sediment.
Smell: bright and hoppy, grapefruit, pineapple, sweet and juicy.
Taste: nice hop flavor up front that follows the nose. Quickly dissipates. Little to no malt taste. Flavors fade, but some bitterness remains.
Mouthfeel: medium. Somewhat effervescent and clean. Falls flat after the swallow and thins out.

Popped the cap and had a gusher. After it settled, I poured into a narrow pint glass: color is hazy copper, head is off white with fine bubbles, some lacing.

Smell is neutral malt, grain, touch of off flavor hops and bitterness.

Taste is astringent, a little off, and generally not that great tasting; hops are neutral and maybe some grass, malt is light and neutral with light toast, but the off note detracts greatly.

Mouthfeel is harsh, over bitter and lingering, too much for a 'session' brew with off flavor.

Overall this brew just was either a bad bottle or the composition does not work for this abv/type of beer.

Tasty stuff, that won't blow you away like the other IPAs from the West coast but still worth a try. Cheers!

Turbid copper/orange hue, minimal foam and lacing.
Not sure what 4 hops were used, but not much hoppening here. Aroma is decent but tasted a little disappointing. Feel is thin as well. Plus the ABV is pretty darned low and it seems like a beer that should have a higher abv. Just not my style but glad I tried.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a beige/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is mild, malts, light citrus. Taste is also mild, malts, light pine, hints of citrus, very little bitterness. Feels medium/light bodied in the mouth and overall is a bit bland, a mediocre beer.

Pours a hazy orange color from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Big frothy white head with good retention and broken bands of thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is piney and citrus hops, fairly pronounced. Taste is less impressive. some bitterness but not that memorable a flavor even factoring in the low abv. Mouthfeel is crisp, balanced between malt and hops and not that light. OK IPA but there are better session IPAs out there.

L: Pours a light amber no real head at all and no lacing but i did a very slow pour.
S: Pine and hops with a hint of citrus.
T: Complex hop flavors pine is there and lots of bitter that stays with you.
F: Ok feel somewhat medium carbonation but missing something.
O: Overall a nice IPA i thought there would be more to it with the 4 hops.

It's a dark cloudy orange with a big foamy white head that has great retention and leaves big sticky lacing throughout. The aroma is a combination of floral, fruity, and pine hops with just a little malt sweetness. Sadly, the tast is much less interesting. It's almost bland and next to none of the hops from the aroma comes through. The body is thinner, lightly carbonated, with a slightly dry finish

Amber color with a thick head with great retention and leaving laces.
Light aroma with notes of pine, lemon, green grapes, resin and pineapple.
Flavor with notes of pine, lemon, lots of spices, their traditional yeast, dank resiny hops, orange-grapefruit citrusy, lychees and flowers. Their four different hops didn't bring much additional complexity. Dry aftertaste with a long lasting bitterness.
Light to medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Assertive piney hoppy IPA with very good execution. Not superb, but well done and pleasant.

This brew uses their Rebel, Freedom, Yaquina, and Alluvial Hops. I have a sweet memory of Rogue Farms for having literally stumbled on the place after taking a tiny ferry across the Willamette. And, it was hop harvest season with piles of the massively fragrant hop cones freshly shucked from the bines.

Light golden yellow in color with a long lasting foam and lacing in the Timmermans goblet. This is such a floral experience with a touch of honey. Quite flavorful for the modest alcohol content. Rather herbal and austere but perfectly quaffable. The mouthfeel is lush and sudsy. Quite dry with a malty touch and something spicy that makes me think this tastes exactly like a rye brew. From the 12 oz bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Wash.
