A muted opaque dark brown body gives an impression of matte black, topped by a tan froth that quickly dies to a thin ring.
This one is weirdly crazy, bringing notes of really wet wood--so I can't help but think of a musty baseball bat here. An ultra nuttiness gives way to an almost maple drizzled pancake that's not quite buckwheat, but close, with a spicy bourbon swallow and a slick, sticky feel but very dry finish.
It just didn't taste right, and this was on draft at the source.

Poured from a 22 oz bomber, into a Funky Buddha snifter.
Soapy, light khaki colored head, that stands 1 finger tall and fades away fast into nothing Does not leave a lacing on the side of the glass.Deep dark brown colored body, with a light brown pour.Very little light coming through the glass, with almost no carbonation.
On the nose I get whiskey barrel, smoked oak wood, roasted caramel malt, roasted almonds, and some other unidentifiable nutty notes.
On the palate I get whisky barrel throughout, caramel malts up front, smoked oak wood in the middle, and roasted almonds and nuts on the back end. There are also some earthy malt note characteristics on the back end.
The body is on the border of medium and heavy, with a sticky mouth feel.Alcohol warming on the way down.
This is actually a pretty damn good beer,it reminds me alot of bourbon county.Definitely would recommend this one if you like a big beer.Wouldn't mind having this one again in the future.
