This is a little dark for an IPA. A medium reddish brown, extremely cloudy and you can see the sediment. Bitter hops, but little citrus or piney sappiness. Nice heavy malt. Thick body for an IPA.

Maybe I am a sucker for these Amarillo hops...but this might be the best IPA I've had to date.
Throws a muddy dark amber. Creamy head floats on top like a solid mass. The tan foam emits a greasy shimmer.
Interesting nose of pine tar, raw hops, bread and maybe hay.
Puckeringly bitter up front. Like someone walked into your mouth with a hops flamethrower. Bigger in character than volume, these hops have a resin-like pine flavor, mixed with an organic leafy taste. Floral too. It's like walking through your garden and eating the blooms off all the plants. This is all balanced by a bready, and slightly carmel malt base. Very solid. I am getting just a little creamy vanilla interwoven in the other flavors. Wow...this is good.
Medium-firm in the mouth. So smooth. So easy to drink. I wish I had a case. The single 22oz bomber only served to tease me. Rogue needs to start producing this en masse.
Thanks for sharing this rare treat, Bighuge.

Strong hop aroma...cloudy light brown appearance with a cream frothy head...hop's do not overwhelm..very unique hop bite I'd describe as oily/husky...excellent beer...if you love IPA's you'll love this one...like I said some very unique hopping, and a real treat to taste..

I searched Rogue's web site to find info about this beer but could find none. I believe it would be considered an IPA, but am not sure. The aroma has a beautiful and strong hoppiness. The head is rocky. The taste is bitter, bitter, bitter........but great if you like that. The beer uses 100% Amarillo hops and is dry hopped with Amarillo. It is a limited edition beer I ordered through Belmont Station and it was worth the effort and money.
