Sweet aromas of chocolate and cherry are prevalent on the nose, the initial hit of cherry gives way to dark chocolate that fills out the mid-palate, finishing with one last blast of cherry before ultimately resigning with the slightly bitter bite of dark chocolate. Contains lactose.

Rated 8/9/2020. Don't really remember this beer, but I should have since I gave it such a high rating. I think this tasted like chocolate covered cherries but not as sweet and some bitterness from the hops. 30 IBUs

Bomber from Albertsons. Dark brown, fine head, ring. Aroma is dry chocolate, roast. Taste brings forth cherry, candy. Reminiscent of a chocolate cherry, artificial, but tasty.

Leah's in love! Got this one at Kroger in M-town, had at home. Definitely enjoying the chocolate aroma and the sour cherry on the tongue. But the mouthfeel on this one is what I really enjoy, velvety smooth. Super excited to have happened on this little gem at the store!

Pours an effervescent ebony with a thumb+ of mocha colored head. Good lacing & below average head retention
S: Some cherry & cocoa
T: Rich cherry cordial flavor, chocolate and little vanilla up front. Dryness, cherry & chocolate as this warms, some leafy hops as well. Finishes a little dry with a little fig, sweet cherry & a little milk chocolate
MF: Medium body & restrained carbonation
Delivers on the promised flavors in such a way as to make you want more, not cloying, but guessing as to what the hell they were shooting for. Well done, Rogue

Even though this stuff is over 4 months old I wanted it because the price wasn't bad (around 10 bucks) and it reminded me of the simple times when you wanted to celebrate you would crack a bomber and it would feel special.
A - Good looking stout here! Was afraid the head would fizz out too fast or not be carbonated enough but I got a full inch plus of mocha froth. Beer itself is as black as the deepest part including the base.
S - Interesting from the fresh bottle crack I got straight cocoa and milk chocolate but in the glass more cocoa and tart candy like cherries. If this beer is as sweet as others described I will enjoy it!
T - Well it's good I can say at this point it is still full on chocolaty like really good chocolate cocoa mixed with some vanilla but you do get some tartness which is pretty much an afterthought like one would get with a hop bite. Enjoyable!
M - Smooth creamy and dangerously drinkable never loses its edge with chocolate goodness.
Overall wow I am surprised this doesn't have more reviews granted I have seen this on the shelves at my local six pack shop for months finally deciding to get it once they put it in the cooler to chill but this might be on the best Rogue beers I had next to the Double chocolate stout. Might have to try it next year if they brew it for winter and it's around!

From tasting notes 12/15/19
Appearance - Pours black with a light tan, finger width head. Fair retention before dying down to a mostly barren surface, razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. A few broken lines and small spits make up the lacing.
Smell - That classic Rogue chocolate aroma is there, along with some definite cherry fruitiness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Deep chocolatey flavors with some really nice, complimentary cherry fruitiness. Hint of roast in there, but mostly sweet finish.
Mouthfeel - Near full in body with fairly tingly carbonation. Slick, smooth drinker before a slightly dry finish.
Overall - Reminds me a lot of the classic Rogue Chocolate Stout, but with that nice kiss of fruity cherry sweetness. I was wary because the Hazelutely Choctabulous was very disappointing. This one works. Dessert beer. Due to it's richness, 22oz might be a bit much for one sitting, so share with a friend or two.

From the 22 oz bottle in a pint glass....cause snifters get a touch old...
and break. This nice sweet stout pours a dark blackish brown with
dark cola highlights and a nice head of brown foam that settles to
a thick ring, thin light layer, and displays some very nice lacing.
Nose of light cherry, dark cocoa, and subtle char amongst dark
roasted malts. Flavors excel at a desert stout with an initial
hit of dark cocoa and cream with moderately bitter Bing
cherries with touches of char and subtle coffee touches
that resound amongst dark roasted malts showing hints
of subtle coffee and moderate cream. Nice mouth
feel for the style; full body, smooth, rich, light
carbonation, and a bitter malt cocoa and cherry
finish.
Overall, a SOLID desert stout worthy of it's
moniker.
Cheers

I don't see a date listed on the bottle.
Appearance: The body is black and it supports a short light brown head that is a bit creamy textured. The head is short but it has very good retention. Spotty lacing.
Aroma: There is an aroma of cacao nibs, baker's chocolate, and burnt caramel. There is a light woody pine aroma as well. It smells a bit like chocolates sitting inside a small pine wood box.
Taste: Chocolate comes straight to the palate with this bitter tasting cocoa flavor. In the middle there is a bit of acidity as if there is something tart in the beer. What follows this is a strong and bitter burnt flavor with pine. The aftertaste is bitter cocoa. There is a very distinct flavor of vanilla that peeks out at first but slowly layers on the palate over time and becomes very obvious.
Mouthfeel: It has a great full body to the beer. Carbonation is excellent and there is just enough bitterness to balance everything out.
Overall: The bottle says that this is a "MILK STOUT WITH NATURAL CHERRY & CHOCOLATE FLAVORS." There was a bit of nondescript tartness to the beer that actually seemed to taste a bit more like grapefruit than anything else. The bottle made no mention of vanilla but it tasted very strongly of vanilla as the beer was consumed more. For chocolate lovers, this will get you a noticeable chocolate flavor but it will be more bitter than sweet. For cherry lovers, this beer will likely leave you wanting something else. I doubt I would buy it again given the lack of any cherry flavor. For those who could care less about chocolate or cherries, the beer as a whole is a really good Milk Stout. The base beer is actually where this truly shines. If you are just looking for a decent stout and can't find anything without flavors, this is worth picking up.
