Shavasana is a relaxation pose often performed at the end of a yoga class to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit. While we would never presume Shavasana Imperial Granola Blonde Ale shares those rejuvenating qualities, we can say it's simply delicious and sometimes that's all that matters.

Unknown age bottle poured into a pilsner glass. The color is a bold burnt orange, moderatley clear. Very strong carbonation, moderate white head retention, great lacing. The nose leads with granola (go figure), pumpkin, and rich bready malt, not very aromatic though. The mouthfeel is very full bodied and rich, finishing somewhat wet on my palate. The taste is very sweet, somewhat mollasses driven, granola riddled, finishing with a rounded rich bread and pumpkin flavor.
This is a classic blonde ale bumped up and injected with granola goodness. While a tad sweet for me, I enjoyed it.

Bomber from Albertsons. Hazy, cloudy orange/golden, one finger foamy head. Aroma is malty and floral. Sweet malty flavors, more floral notes, light lacto, herbal, spicy, tea. A whole lot of stuff going on here, and a bit of potency as well.
