Label indicates "Hazy Pale Ale with Natural Flavor" - but it's just a slightly bit cloudy. yellow golden color, white head. Fairly hoppy aroma. Citrus, lemon. Taste has mild bitterness. medium bodied.

2/26/22 Not sure where this fits in the scheme of things but I didn't care for this brew. Bought it on a flyer due to the brewer, Rogue. Pours clear. Head dissipates quickly. Funny taste with maybe a hint of lychee. Drinkable but with everything that's available in the market, why buy this?

Bought a single 12oz bottle $2.99 Young's
No bottle date
Smell of lychee, buckwheat
Hazy golden color
Medium-light mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Taste of buckwheat soba noodles, light citrus
Overall a refreshing beer that would pair well with Japanese food as the light flavors would not overpower the food.

the newest in the morimoto series, a hazy pale ale, or at least they claim, but on tap at the brewery it was near clear, i wasnt even sure they poured the right beer at first, maybe its cloudier in packaged form, but the keg was running clear when we were in. real light golden colored without much head, its very light, surprisingly so. the flavors are strange, the malt base is curious, spicy like rye in the mix but also earthy and wet and sort of bread doughy, sweet as well, honey character in the malt holds the fruitiness of the hops, and it almost has a dessert wine complexion to it, ripe melon from el dorado, but its also a little perfume forward and not super cohesive, slightly chemical even as it warms, and i ended up not being too stoked on this overall. its a pale ale so it doesnt need to be real bitter, but some hop kick at the end would help balance the sweetness of the grain profile. the hops dont quite get robust enough to push through the malt weirdness either, so i think the proportions are a little strange. i hope to get the chance to try this in bottled format to compare, but this one left me a little confused, like the execution just wasnt quite there. knowing rogue this was a fluke experience and the packaged version will be a huge improvement, i have not seen it around anywhere yet though...
