Pumpkin Patch Ale is made with whole pumpkins that we chop up and roast by hand. The hand roast allows us to caramelize the natural sugars exactly as we like, which when combined with a delicate balance of spices creates the signature flavor of our classic fall-themed brew. 25 IBUs

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice dark golden amberish color, pretty nice carbonaition, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/foamy off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with a nice touch of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, pumpkin, cardamom, slight hop note, slight ginger. The taste is really nice, malty, slight hop note, very nice touch of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom, ginger. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, nice sweetness with this one. Overall, a very tasty Pumpkin Ale!

Pours our a dark brown color with amber hues mixed in, the head starts off thick and fluffy-it's off white and thins out into a fine lacing around the glass.
The aroma is a bit lacking, mild sugar and strong pumpkin.
The taste is really good, sweet, mildly bitter in the aftertaste with hints of spices and mild pumpkin.
Semi dry and very smooth with mild carbonation.

Poured into a glass from a can. It has a dark orange color with a light foamy head. Aroma of pumpkin and spice. Kind of a bitter pumpkin spice taste.

Pours a handsome shade of orange amber with plenty of foam. Aroma of clove, mostly. This is not too sweet but flavor is malty. Moderate bitter aftertaste. I don't know if spices in beers are such a good idea. So many different flavors in this makes for a raw mouthful. The pumpkin flavor is actually quite nice and I think so much spice detracts from it. Overall this is an interesting and sippable seasonal brew. From the 16 oz can purchased at the beer store. Dated 07/08/2025.

Copenhagen 28/7-2020. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Total orange bottle with a drawing of a bunch of pumpkins.
Pours unclear dark amber with a big off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a herbal sweet odor. Cooked vegetables, pumpkin soup and black pepper. Hints of cinnamon and ginger.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sugary sweet. Lingers for a while. I found it remotely interesting tasting a pumpkin based beer
For some reason Rogue has turned this one into a cornucopia of Christmas spices.

This is not too bad an ale, my wife likes it more than I do. It is not too heavy on the spices so as to taste like a pumpkin pie but has a pumpkin/squash flavor with the tartness of the hops to make an interesting flavor. 25 IBUs Rated 8-16-2020. Just had another one of these beers a couple of weeks ago, still really good.

Rouge makes some really solid beers, and while this one isn't outstanding, it's a solid player.
Poured a clear amber with a minuscule head that vanished fast.
If you know pumpkin beers, you know that many smell like pie, or sometimes like PIE. This one is different - the first whiff isn't of pie - it's of pumpkin, then orange peel, then a faint whiff of baking spices. It isn't what I expected, but it's a welcome departure from every other pumpkin beer.
Taste follows the nose. Pumpkin forward, spices are in the background. Pie it ain't, but that's okay.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, refreshing.
Overall, it's a very good, pumpkin forward beer. It makes you exclaim "good gourd, but not "good god."

The contents of a pint can are entirely emptied into a clear glass liter mug. There's plenty of those pumpkin pie spices to be smelled. So is it clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice or something else that dominates. For the nose, let's go with the pungent clove. That's not to say the others aren't included. To look at, the brew is dull, but it's richly copper-amber and supports a very little off-white head. Drinking it, the body first seems to carry all of the tastes anticipated by the nose, bringing a little welcomed sweetness upfront. But, as the taste of spices grows, the body fades. It never gets too thin, although it approaches that mark. The positives are that, unlike its aroma, there is a nice balance of pumpkin pie spices to taste. The glass lacing is noteworthy. It drinks easily, as none of the pumpkin pie spices dominates. The overall thinness of the body can produce doubt that real pumpkins were included. In the specialty niche, this is OK, but not among the elite few.
