Bottle pour at the bottle share held at Chloe's inside Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, rye, citrus fruit, and citrus zest. Taste is much the same with a honey flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Thanks to Alex for sharing.

Amber in color with a bit of haze and a khaki head. Nice hop aroma of grapefruit, pine, and orange peels. Semi-sweet malt on the nose with caramel and rye. The flavor has a nice balance to it. Toffee sweetness along with some rye to go with a pine flavor and bitterness along with some more citrusy notes, particularly grapefruit. An overall enjoyable libation.

Thanks to Alex for sharing. This is a homebrew recipe brewed at Rogue for NHC 2012 in Seattle.

A: Amber with a finger of beige froth.

S: Piney with grapefruit and orange. Bready malt and rye. The aroma gives the impression of balance.

T: Bready malt with evident rye flavor. Piney and moderately bitter with some grapefruit. Balanced flavor.

M: Medium body with medium carbonation.

Overall: A solid Rye IPA.
