Bottle courtesy of BeerTruck, huge thanks for the generosity!
Pours with a minimal half-finger of tan head that dissipated pretty quickly, but left a small layer of tans spottiness; very dark brown verging on black, with clear ruby hints.
Lightly sweet maltiness; almost like a bit of lactose sugar in the nose, caramel?; touch metallic and only a faint hint of roastiness. The flavor does show the light roasted quality, with light hints of sweetness. It's almost like a caramel light coffee drink, but only the coffee is really muted if present at all. Taste is actually not bad at all for the style, and certainly more interesting than most in the range.
Thinner body that is a little slick, and the carbonation doesn't rear up to aggressively which matches alright with the taste and the overall delivery. Just OK drinking, and not a bad change of pace. Certainly not as hearty as I would have hoped, but certainly easy to quaff.

Appearance: light black colour with some deep ruby highlights when put against the light. Head: dark beige colour, moussy and moderately low. It fades rather quickly but successfully maintains a little bit of the foam as the beer is consumed. Good amount of lacing.
Aroma: roasted sweet malts and some coffee notes.
Taste: sweet and roasted flavour. Coffee presence and not very hoppy.
Mouthfeel: smooth, average carbonation, low alcoholic strength and medium to light body.
Finish: starts with a toasted feeling that gradually turns to a more bitter aftertaste.
Overall: a one dimension dark lager. Not unpleasant but does not offer much.
