On hand pump at GABS festival, May 2014.

Pours an amber-brown colour with large bubbly head. Retains quite well for a cask beer. Looks nice.

Smells quite English actually, with a decent whack of herbal English hop character. Touch of coconut and lots of sweet oak notes. Pleasant.

Taste is sadly very sweet, and has a big soft drink edge upfront. Caramel malt with a slightly tangy lime character. Touch of coconut gives indication of oak but it's just a little bit sweet and light for me.

Decent body, slight hint of alcohol on there. Not too bad.

Not bad, but ultimately tastes sweet without a lot of malt complexity. As a result it feels almost artificially sweetened. Not one of W+P's best.
