Pale golden, thin white head, some clouds of lacing.

Nose is very mild, a bit of malt, citrus, grain, lemon.

Tastes like a koelsch with all its usual attributes amped up somewhat. Very strong malty grain character, touches of lemon and spice, crisp finish. Hops are relatively mild, providing only a citrussy grassy touch. Slighly skunky. Still, a nice patio drinker in the cool autumn Australian weather.

Slightly aggressive carbonation, slick feel.

A decent stab at the style, certainly worthy of big quaffage in the summer and warm fall months. Lacks the subtlety and effervescence of its German counterparts, but certainly packs the flavor and sheer drinkability of a koelsch.

Time to review the bottled version of the Wig's flagship beer.

Perfect appearance for a Kolsch. Crystal clear, pale gold colour. Small to medium sized, dense white head. Good head retention.

Light aroma with some very faint malt, sulphur and light, tropical fruit esters present. Otherwise, crisp and clean.

Well balanced beer with silky soft malt in the attack followed up nicely by a solid bitterness. Light sulphur and very light fruit notes. Lingering bitter and dry finish with a slight tartness on the back palate. A very good example.

A smooth beer with a light to medium body and crisp, moderate carbonation.

A very good beer which is characteristically drinkable. This bottled version is a fair sight better than that on tap.

Pours a light amber appearance, steady but mild carbonation. Head isn't very impressive, just thin with visible bubbles.

Light hoppy aroma with honey overtones, quite malty and pleasant really. Maybe a bit of tropical fruit but not much, sweet and light, maybe a bit too sweet. Not bad though.

Slight honey on the front palate descends into slightly off-tasting hops, a bit dank and tart. The light fizziness on the back palate saves this quite a bit from being too sweet and sickly. But yeah, after light front palate it's quite thick in flavour and more heavy-going, more of a German Pilsener malt profile than a Kölsch.

The flavours do show promise, but it's a bit imbalanced and not clean, smooth drinking which is what I'd expect from a Kölsch.

Light pale yellow, with a solid, but filmy white head and light carbonation.

Nose is very fruity, fropical fruits dominating, with citrus and syruped orange. Very pleasant, quite refreshing.

Taste is fruity sweet, morphing to a good fragrant mid palate. It finishes dry and refreshing. This is a really drinkable brew, sweet, but delicious and thirst quenching. Mouthfeel very robust.

This is a most enjoyable beer. I could very happily sink a few of these.

Really loved this. Melony/appley. Soft, round, really well balanced, sweetish malts, with some drying hops, some citrus, medium bitter finish, really wish i had a few more samples of it, something i could sit down a drink a few of, no worries, tasty. Beautiful balance, a better than most German Kolschs i've had, tasty.
