Clear, chestnut colour with a dense, ivory head. Great head retention and lacing.

Sweet, caramel malts and subtle green earthy character are the only discernible features in the lackluster aroma.

Lots of caramel and crystal malts in here with a very sweet initial flavour. The mid palate is more balanced with good bitterness. A subtle fruitiness and earthy character play out well. Strong lingering bitterness is the strongest reminder that this is actually an IPA.

Medium body with low carbonation. Silky, creamy and smooth.

This is a tasty beer but lacks the hop character of a great IPA.

Poured a clear, browny amber.
Wild, hoppy aromas and flavours, like bush vegetation. Some hints of tobacco leaf & cut lantana. Nice malt complexity.
Not a very bitter IPA. The hops are more flavour-dominant than bitter-dominant.
Although a nice beer, I would like some heavier bitterness, and stronger malt to balance it further.

Pours a good resiny amber colour, with a fair medium-thick white head, no carbonation. Looks fairly mediocre.

Very nice, toffee, sticky, sappy qualities on the nose. Sweet but with a nice tart, bullish hop aroma, quite English with moderately herbal fragrance. Great nose.

A bit of rich, stouty fullness on the front palate, good sticky sweetness that is quite prominent throughout, with heavy malt. A slight English hop grittiness which is a bit too dirty for an otherwise very pleasant, well-structured malt profile. Seems almost nitro in its smooth feel, yeah really quite a pleasant drinking IPA.

Red brown hue with a very good sticky ochre head. No carbonation, suits the style. Wonderful looking brew.

Syrupy toffee nose with a fragrant bit of hops. Really not quite as hoppy as I'd expect, but there's genuine fragrance there. Very pleasant.

Taste is quite fragrant, with roasted notes and a quickly crescendoing hit of pure hoppy goodness. This is a robust, assertive beer. It has a delectable creamy mouthfeel, which beautifully counterpoints the spicy, bitter fragrance in the beer.

I quite substantially enjoyed this beer. A very fine brew indeed.

From notes, Reviewed as part of a Wig-and-Penathon tasting Sat Oct 1st, between myself and mrs heygeebee

Noted as 5.7 - 6.0 ABV

Pours a copper brown colour with a one finger head. Lacing is fantastic.

Classic English earthy hop aromas

Taste is English, and quite malt dominated to start with. Overall an earthy bitterness starts to build, but stops just short of overpowering by the end of the schooner

Mouthfeel is light, yet quite bitter

Overall, would be very sessionable, if the earthiness of the bitter flavours were less dominant.
