Pitch black colour with a creamy and long lasting tan head. Good head retention.
Mild roast malt with some sweetness. Moderate cherry and banana notes. Distinctly fruity.
A smooth stout with a lot of fruit added. There is a ton of banana and cherry flavour here which sort of presents as berries. For me the banana note is overpowering and not pleasant.
Medium-light body with moderate carbonation. Quite creamy.
The problem in this beer is simple. The cherry flavour is good and would complement the stout but the bright iso-amyl acetate that presents as banana kills off the complexity and makes this somewhat unappetising.
