Wig & Pen / Canberra Brewers collaboration beer. A Rye "Lager" brewed with 100% Brett.
Clear amber colour with a creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Limited lacing.
Very light Brett character on the nose as it was designed to have. Some "phenolic" rye notes. A little fruity.
Some chewy malts with a nice touch of rye that adds a spicy, earthy complexity. Good fruity character from the Brett and a nice little touch of sweetness. Really quite tasty.
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Good.
A solid beer and an interesting style. Well crafted and yet more interesting use of Brett from the Wig & Pen.
