Part of the evolving Centenary Ale series where the recipe and even style change each batch. This edition is the Belgian Golden Strong Ale
Hazy amber gold colour with a big, fluffy, offwhite head. Good head retention. Nice.
Richly malty with lovely caramelised notes. Plenty of yeast too. Good fruit and some clove aroma. Excellent.
Sweet malt and tons of yeast ester. Nice phenolic clove notes. A well balanced Golden Ale.
Medium body with low carbonation. The cask is unorthodox for style but works really nicely.
A lovely, simple, easy drinking ale. The Belgian style works really nicely in winter and the cask treatment is unusual and effective.
