Poured a clear gold. Nice creamy white head
Aroma is clove, banana bread, cinnamon.
The clove and spicy flavors almost go fishy. Banana bread notes are still present. Something seems to be missing to level out the palate.
Mouth feel is pillowy, but kind of aqueous. Moderate-low carbonation. Alcohol warmth not very present.
Overall, it's not bad, but some missing something that makes some of the notes clash oddly.

Baeren Hefeweizen pours a beautiful sunshine orange with a frothing head and swirling yeast haze that settles down to the bottom. After a few sips the head settles down to a nice lacing.
The nose has a delightful wheat spiciness, with some bubble gum also clearly present. Not a whole lot of banana, but quite nice nevertheless. In terms of taste, the spice is there, though not quite as up-front as I'd prefer. Very well balanced though.
The smooth, creamy aspect of the mouthfeel is great, but it seemed to me that there wasn't quite enough carbonation for it to hang together as well as it could have and it ends up feeling a bit watery as a result.
I haven't tried many (or perhaps any) Japanese brewed-Hefeweizens, but I'd be willing to bet this is among the top examples from Japan.
