A - Hazy yellow body with a small white head.
S - Sweet vinegary aroma. Floral notes.
T - A bunch of hoppyness jumps out, which is extremely out of style. This is followed by a bold sweet and simple maltyness.
M - Slightly flabby, low carbonation.
D - Considering that my father-in-law were fighting over which one of us had to finish this beer, I cant rate the drinkability that high.

Bought this one at Tanakaya, Tokyo, stamped 06.04.14. Priced at under 400 yen (a little over $3USD/bottle) for a stubby 330mL, Baeren has quickly become my favorite Ji-Biru brewer. I'll be bringing some of these back home!
This one poured out a luscious, shimmering + transparent amber with a one inch foamy head that slowly fell.
Sweet, malty smell, also slightly buttery/diacetyl. Nose is pleasant, but not very strong.
This one had a surprisingly upfront + personal hop bitterness, very assertive. Packed a strong punch! Light, sweet, berry-like fruitiness complimented nicely. Medium to heavy body, very sustainable brew. Malts topped off the flavor nicely and gave it a good balance.
The alcohol warmed as it went down and felt pleasant. Left a bit of a bitter aftertaste, but the finish was tart and refreshing.
Given the alcohol and the character of the body, I could still see myself throwing a few of these back outside on a pleasant, spring day in Japan. Excellent! Kanpai!
