A: Deep amber-brown, medium head, medium carbonation.
S: Lots of sweet malt and biscuit in the nose, with a background citrusy note almost reminiscent of slight Belgian-like sourness.
T: The sweet and caramelly malt is a bit more subdued than the aroma would suggest. Almost a bit of a dry, roasted malt flavor. Overall, the flavor is a bit more subdued than I’d like, but very drinkable.
M: Bubbly and smooth, this beer goes down easy and smooth.
O: A fan of American-brewed alts, I’ve still to sample a true German one. This one is quite nice.
