Had on Handpump at Volstead Trading Company, 425mL
A- A pretty classic look for a old ale served by hand pump, just a bit of natural tan wispy head and the color is a dark burnt carmel. pretty damn sexy.
S-Burnt Caramel, prunes, raisin , brown sugar and alcohol esters
T-Prune Wine is the first thing that comes to mind, the alcohol is there for sure, and maybe the beer could do with a bit more age, but it is still interesting the finish has flourishes of burn caramel and brown sugar.
M-Too light for the style, it just rolls off my palate, I want there to be more stickiness in the beer.
O-A decent Old ale, that would be even better with more age added on to it, I think there is plenty right here, just a few tweaks (and maybe a barrel or two) could really send this over the edge.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
