Woo Hoo, three favorite things I love separately but lets see how they mix together.
330ml-->Odd Thistle Glass
Appearance-A deep brown bordering on black with ruby highlights. A really large bubble filled head that is cream colored and has some retention.
Smell- A large dose of raspberry puree with cocoa powder. The body of the nose is a moderately roasted typical porter.
Taste- Very similar to the nose, but the roasted porter tones balance the bitterness of the raspberry and the slight chocolate notes.
Mouthfeel- Its slightly sweet with a dry short bitterness to end the sip.
Drinkability- Its certainly a novelty beer but the glass still emptied itself and every else who ordered it liked it.
Summary- Its a raspberry driven dark beer with some cocoa flavors.
