Poured from the 500ml bottle into a pint glass. Body is a pretty bright orange color with a thick, creamy white head that sticks around for a while, leaving a pretty, thick coating on the glass. Aroma of assertive, fruity hops and light biscuity malt.
Palate is big on citrusy hops up front, with plenty of bitterness. Notes of grapefruit and and pineapple come through before being slightly mellowed by a mild sweetness from the malt. Finish is bitter and long-lasting.
Body is full and a bit creamy for an IPA, without any stickiness. This is an impressive hop bomb full of just the right kind of bitterness. An excellent effort from the southern hemisphere.

This pours a fairly clear amber colour with a small but tight, off-white head.
The aroma is of moderately strong citrus with some resinous notes.
There is a big bitterness and it seems to dominate. There is a bit of nice, biscuity malt trying to balance it out but the hop bitterness is too high for it to work.
Medium-full body with low carbonation, It could probably have done with a couple of extra days in the cellar to condition.
A decent IPA but lacking in the hop flavour and aroma expected of the American IPA described by the brewmaster.

Had from a cask on the bar at the Local Taphouse Anzac Spectapular.
Pours a hazy orange-gold colour, no head really but I think I would expect that from a hand-pump. Lace is unimpressive. Yeah it looks like a cask beer; I'm not firkin impressed.
Nose is quite an intense hoppy affair. Lots of American style hops, floral but to the point of being spicy, with huge pineapple, passionfruit seed aromas and a hint of banana. Very fruit and yeah, very enjoyable. Seedy and fruity, really.
Tastes quite fruit as well, but more weak, with a fruit juice texture giving a lot of that impression. Lots of apple, pineapple, passionfruit, even peach, and a good dose of citrus zest as well. This is all from the hops which pretty much dominate throughout. Maybe some malt on the front, but it's a hop bomb for the vast majority. Even to the point of seeming unbalanced.
A lot of sediment as this travels through the mouth. Not a great deal of body but feels unfiltered and it's hard to ignore it. As I said, feels like fruit juice.
I can see hop lovers loving this, and usually I am one but I find it a little bit meh. Just want more balance.

Served from cask for the ANZAC Day SpecTapular at the Darlinghurst Local Taphouse.
From the cask, pours a filmy and thick cloudy dusky yellow brown, with an initial froth of highly aerated bubbles that snap, crackle and pop themselves into oblivion, leaving a still and dormant looking ale.
Very boisterous and powerful aromas of fresh fruits. Masses of passionfruit, cherry and melon. Fresh, ripe and delicious. Absolutely redolent with fresh Kiwi hops. Man, they're awesome.
Smooth entry from the cask, a round fruity front palate which is helped with a slight hoppy tartness around the edges before a lovely robust bitterness clears the back. Mouthfeel off the cask is lovely if a tiny bit flat. Flavour gets rather demanding after a while but overall its a very nice drop.
A really good drop of beer, served perfectly and full of flavour and character. Probably one of the best showcases for NZ hops I've sampled, especially the delicious Nelson Sauvin, which is prominent here.
It is full on after a while, leaving the palate a little exhausted, but its a really lively drop of beer.
