Pours a clear golden colour with steady bead. Head was alright, white in colour but sinks to nothing after a short while. Lace is small and slippery. Not a bad-looking lager, could use better head retention though.

Nose is very grainy. Lots of barley, corn, just that cereal smell really, some oats even. A bit of sweetness, like a hint of vanilla and a bit of brown sugar. Not much else, just very grainy.

Graininess continues onto the palate. Huge flavour of pearl barley, oats, and shredded wheat notes. Slight sweetness throughout with a hint of honey, fresh bread and a very slight cocoa character that comes through late. Yeah, it's really just very grainy. Not a dirty splat of grain though, finish is clean enough, even though any hops that may or may not be here are not very noticeable.

Mouthfeel is a little thick and stodgy, not much fizz and quite dry on the finish. Alright for the style, but I'm not thrilled.

Not minding this, it's quite smoothly sweet drinking, and fairly mild.

Served on tap at the Darlinghurst Local's ANZAC Spectapular.

Pours a very clear bronzey golden colour, with only a slight ring of foam around the edges. Looks a bit insipid, to be honest.

Nose is mild with just a hint of grain husk and a light brown sugar sweetness. Not a lot to it, and it's not overly impressive what is there.

Pretty bland palate as well, lots of cereal graininess, with a very light astringent character on the very back which doesn't really balance it. Still, the graininess is muted at best so it's not really unbalanced.

Not great, but pretty inoffensive. Could make a good session brew at least.
