Brewed for AleCraft at Verulam Brewery. A robust porter in the American West Coast style. It's rich and roasty! Big dark malt flavours, hints of chocolate with an American hop balance.

500ml bottle served in my Spiegelau nonic. Best before end November 2016 printed on the back label of the bottle. Pours a lovely inky black with an opaque clarity and a dense, worthy, two inch, khaki-colored head embedded with ringlets. Interesting nose - roast, ash, saw dust, vinous notes and just a suggestion of cocoa. Taste - well, pretty awful. Vinous, metallic, saw dust, dark malts and watery. Mouthfeel is watery with a mild carbonation and a light acidity. Overall, one of the worst beers I've had in a while. Not sure if it's bad or infected, but it's a total drain pour.
