Had on tap at Shiga Kogen Brewery (Nagano).
This was one of the better, or possibly the best Japanese brown ale I have tasted.
It was dark, smokey, rich, and bitter.
Was almost leaning toward a porter/stout taste for me but just enough hops to pull it back.
Of all the Shiga beers I have tasted this one left a lasting impression. May be due to the fact that we got the first pours from a keg just produced, but it was damn good.
Looking forward to seeing this in bottles soon!
