A and I were hiking and travelling around Sothern England and stopped
by The Turf Tavern in Oxford (if you get a chance go to this pub). Some
of the guest ales were from White Horse brewery. The Village Idiot is
an IPA that is more along the lines of an American IPA than a British IPA.
The hop is quite noticeable. The color was a nice golden color, and the head was a lovely natural carbonation. The taste was great. A nice hoppy IPA from a cask, can it get much better than that? Maybe I was influenced by the fact that I was on vacation, but I really enjoyed this beer.
As we were leaving one of the whitehorse brewers took our table to take advantage of the seats with backs and we had a nice conversation. He invited us to come out to the brewery and he would show us around, but
alas our train was leaving the next morning. Next time.
