Cask at the Island Queen near Angel.
Pours an unfortunately murky brown. Probably just a bad pull.
A nice, relatively light, aroma of milk chocolate with some good dark fruit.
Good red fruit right up front. Delivers some slightly sweet chocolate with just the smallest hint of roasted grain. Restrained bitterness in the finish.
Despite the appearance, mouthfeel was spot-on. I'm not much of a porter drinker but I went through quite a few of these. A good sweet take on the style.
