Clear light amber color with a bit of off-white foam. Aroma has some caramel malt, dried orange peel and earthy hops. Taste follows with caramel malt and some citrusy hops, quite bitter and dry towards the finish. Light to medium body and carbonation. Simple but decent.

Bought this from b&m's thought it was worth a go, poured two finger head which fades, not a lot of lacing, very bitter taste at times but I kind of like it definite alcohol taste again I quite like, vanilla smell and definate malt. Good carbonation an enjoyable beer after a few sips but not easy drinking. I like it but not for everyone.

Pours like pub tap cola where the postmix ratio is slightly too water heavy because as a mixer drinkers 'prefer' a less strong taste so it's a mid brown lol, even with the head that starts foamy & big and is soon just tiny bubbles round the edge of the glass.
There is that candy smell that I associate with a good red ale, like strawberry liquorice & molasses
It's a darker taste than the average red there is plums and red fruit and sweet malts against hints of treacle & coffee but most importantly with recently supping a few watery tasting reds a big bold flavour is good
Nicely balanced MF not heavy going but enough kick to remind you it's stronger than 5% and low key and fitting carbonation.
Not what I expected but good stuff
