Clear rust color with some off-white head. Aroma has caramel malt, some light fermentation notes and earthy hops. Taste is hoppy and bitter up-front and builds up towards the finish. There is a subtle malt sweetness at first but the hops are taking over quickly. Medium body, feels quite mineral and dry, medium carbonation. Overall it's a legit bitter.

Golden straw. Thin by lasting head.
Hoppy. Lemony. Some biscuit.
Demi-sec. Malt backbone with a mildly bitter finish.
Smooth and quite refreshing.
One of the better golden ales.

Bit if a 'sweaty' aroma, which is always promising. On first taste, has a hoppy American ale flavour which confused. Very fruity: mainly citrus with gooseberries and a touch of fox musk. A fair amount of carbonation and a medium mouth feel with a bitter back bite. Pleasing.

500ml Bottle from Home Bargains (£1.39):
Clear amber with a finger sized, creamy, white head that holds well.
Sweet with some fruits and creaminess plus some earthy hops mixed with a biscuit like aroma. Standard but a pleasant aroma at least.
Bitter & earthy with some light fruits coming through. Some biscuit and faint hops towards the end as well. Again much what I was expecting from this one, a pleasant taste but nothing that stands out.
Light medium bodied, smooth and crisp with a slight tang to proceedings. There is touch of sweetness from the fruits but it turns a little bland towards the end.
A fairly average beer from start to finish, definitely a drinkable beer but not one worth looking out for or one I'll be picking out again.

pale gold with a thin white head that quickly disappears to a ring. Aroma of honey, peaches and hay. Taste of grass, flowers and earth with caramel and light bitterness to finish with some hints of peaches. Medium body, medium carbonation.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear orange-amber hue with medium carbonation. Forms a small head of white foam that disappears quickly. Aroma of sweet, grainy malt with a distinct 'fruity' note and a hint of stewed hops.
Tastes of sweet, light malt with a dry bitterness. Subtle hints of toffee and fruit, although the dominant flavour is harsh stewed hops. Little in the way of hop aroma. Mouthfeel is tingly and astringent, leaving the palate dry. Aftertaste of bitter stewed hops - unpleasant.
Weak. This has a bland flavour of sweet malt and bitter stewed hops, with little to tantalise the tastebuds. The label mentions citrus aromas, but I struggled to detect anything of the kind. Excessive stewed hops give it a harsh finish. Unworthy - don't bother....
