Bottled
A (mellow) yellow body and a big foaming frothy white head
The aroma is Shandy Bass & BO
Falvour, I get honey (which I am not overly found of) and not a lot else
Fairly solid MF
I'm not a huge fan of honey so left trying this Sadler till quite later & trying to be kind here

A 500ml bottle with a BB of June 2014. Picked up a while back from a B&M store. Described on the label as a honey-infused pale ale hopped with First Gold and NZ Green Bullet.

Poured into a straight pint glass. A hazy pale-gold hue with good carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with hints of fruity ale yeast, mild honey notes and stewed leaves. A twinge of husk/cardboard in the background. S'OK.

Tastes of light, grainy malt with a faint honey character and a dry finish. Notes of mild grain, fruity ale yeast, subtle honey notes and stewed leaves. Well-attenuated, followed by a restrained, leafy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry and tingly, with pleasant carbonation and decent body. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of stewed leaves, earthy yeast and a whisper of honey.

A decent enough brew, though nothing special. Looks rather nice, while the aroma and flavour are a fairly bland mix of grainy malt and ale yeast. A hint of honey sweetness adds something to the character. Body is alright. Perhaps a shade too dry overall, however it goes down easily enough. Worth sampling, but no need to hunt it down.

Hand-pulled pint in The Canalside Inn, Birmingham on 30 Aug 2013.

A slight misty hue to my pale yellow pint with some good lacing given by the pure white head.

Sweet malty nose, trace of honey maybe, light floral hop notes in there too.

The taste followed the aroma fairly comprehensively: semi-sweet malty flavour with a mild hop finish with both floral and honey type flavours within the whole thing.

Body wise it was bordering on thin, but it suited the alcohol and character of the brew, so no complaints.
