A very nice Pale Brown bitter that was the perfect start to a session on a cold rainy night. Not much head to the pour but it lasted adn left some crazy sticky lacing all around the glass. Aromas were muted but nice, roast nuts, bit of fuggles hops and pale malts round it out. tastes are similar but more pronounced. Pale malts and British hops balance each other perfectly in this one, roasted nuts add some addtional roasty bitterness and depth. The end of the taste is very refreshing and cool, literally I got a cooling sensation as I swallowed, it was very nice, even better if it were a warm day. The palate is smooth and really easy to drink, just goes down like a drunken prom date, and unlike mine, has a great body!! Overall this is one of those beers which is much better than the sum of it's parts. Just a GREAT session beer that I will look for in the future.
